A Cobblemon Hunt is a bounty / hunting system — meaning you can take on "hunt tasks" which require capturing (or sometimes defeating) certain Pokémon, as opposed to just catching randomly in the wild.

Cobblemon separates Pokémon spawns into rarity “buckets.” When a spawn attempt is made, the game first chooses a bucket at random and then selects a Pokémon from within that bucket based on weights defined in the spawn config.
Default Spawn Bucket Chances (approx):
🟢 Common: ~94%
🟡 Uncommon: ~5%
🔴 Rare: ~0.5%
⭐ Ultra-rare: ~0.2%
